ACUMEN
: An On-Line Trading Software

This is an Integrated Multi-Company, Multi-Warehouse
Generic Retail Distribution System designed and implanted
using Distributed Component Based Architecture and
deployed using Delphi Components. A new web interface
is currently being developed for internet catalogue
based sales. An interface to an web-based eCRM is
also planned. The software can be tailored to suit
the specific needs of different vertical retailers.

This Warner Music central CD order entry system was
running on a COBOL & Wang RPG based Wang VS system.
With over 600 order entry clerks the system also
supported Fax, EDI and Paper Orders. The System was
migrated using ADA’s Re-Engineering tools to
Distributed PowerBuilder System.

largest Jewellery & Watch
Retailers of Germany and Switzerland with over 200
retail stores. We developed the Point of Sales system
so that the individual POS or cluster of POS at a
store is connected to the Central Concentrators,
which is in turn connected to the backend AS/400
clusters. The special feature of the software included
the automatic stock control & movement between
stores and Central stores and the automatic price
updates based on Gold prices that change every
hour. |

This product was developed as a packaged product
for Comprehensive Computer Systems, UK. The product
is an integrated system that takes care of the needs
of a large auto-parts retailer and has links to the
Warehousing, Workshop Management and Replenishment
Systems. A specialized module searches the parts
from specifications and supports CD based catalogues.
